Our Co-op

Bluff Country Co-op is a natural foods cooperative. We are committed to honest pricing, high ethical standards, and sound financial management.

The co-op was formed in 1972 as Famine Foods Co-op and changed its name to Bluff Country Co-op in 1992. From its early days as an all volunteer-run organization of 20 dedicated individuals, co-op membership has grown to 950 households and a staff of 25. Bluff Country Co-op moved to its current location in 2000, which more than doubled its retail space. The co-op also serves a critical community-building role for locals committed to a cleaner environment and a just and sustainable economy.
